Mona Lisa Smile

I remember watching TMNT AGES ago (and I do mean ages). I used to know everything about it, but most of that has slipped me by. One thing I do remember, however, is Mona Lisa.

She was a focus of mine, though as the years passed I forgot how she had looked, and when the show passed my interest and the movies popped up, I kind of created another version of her in my mind. It is only now that TMNT has come back into my interest after all these years, and I have decided to draw her the way I dreamed her up.

Anyway, you may have noticed that my Mona looks a little different from the way she looked in the show. This came about because after I saw the show all those years ago, I forgot what she had looked like and since I didn’t have an image to consult, I had to recreate her in my mind. I also remembered that the action figure had black hair and red bandana, so maybe that had something to do with how she turned out. When I finally decided to look her up online, I decided I still liked my version better, so there you go. I guess you can tell but my Mona has black hair and red accents. Basically, I feel like putting a pink ribbon on somebody is just saying “Hey, in case you weren’t sure, yes I’m a girl.” ha
